He told me that after looking at a picture of mine on Facebook that he had to scroll past it quickly. On the picture was someone that he used to date. I teased him about missing her and he stated that he was past her, but he did like her hair the way it was. I laughed and stated, "I guess you really didn't scroll quickly past the pictures." He told me to shut up, but then he confessed, "We all have that one person".
After getting off the phone with him, I pondered his statement. Is that true? Do we all have that one person? That one person who makes us question our choices? That one person that makes us wonder what life would be like if we were with them?
Honestly, I couldn't think of my one person. Thanks to the era of Facebook, I don't have to wonder what life would be like with any of my exes because I can see how they are living now. Matter of fact, I think I'm more on the side of wondering what was I thinking by even agreeing to date some of them.
I must admit that I do want to have that one person that causes my hear to flutter. That one person who makes me pause when looking at a digital print on a screen. Perhaps one day I'll have that one person and won't have to wonder what life would be like with them because he and I will have vowed before God and man that for each other we are that one person!
